Hello, I have quite a complex situation that hopefully I can make right.

I moved to the uk in 2014 and did not file anything to say that I’m leaving. I kept Canadian bank account and rrsp. I use the bank account every time I visit Canada.

I came back to Canada in Sept 2018 and worked for 4 months but only made 5k, did not file tax return. Went back to uk in March 2019.

I have renewed my health card and driver license with my mom’s address, I got a small sum of money from my grandparents that I’ve contributed to my rrsp throughout the years. Have already realised I’ve over contributed and have taken some out while in the uk. I work and pay taxes in the uk and have lived here full time other than the brief stint in Canada.

I didn’t know you couldn’t keep a Canadian bank account and rrsp and am worried about the repercussions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
