Hi, I am a canadian citizen and have lived in US for many years.A year ago, I married my wife in Canada and she has been living in canada most of the time for 2017. I have been deemed non-resident by CRA prior to our marriage but now that we are married, I am not sure if I would be considered as resident. We don’t own any homes in US or Canada but I live exclusively in US. My canadian driver’s license and health cards have expired many years ago and i Havent been renewing it. I don’t have any bank accounts in Canada, neither do I have any investments RRSP, TFSA or pensions in Canada. I do have the 401K in US. No personal posessions in Canada either. Do you think I can be considered a non-resident?
