Our standard fee is based on the following scenarios:
- $600 + disbursements per form – if there are two non-resident co-owners of one property and both forms relate to the same sale
- $1,200 + disbursements per form – if the two forms relate to separate properties (i.e., two distinct real estate transactions)
This includes:
- Preparation of the T2062 form(s)
- Preparation of supporting documents (e.g., adjusted cost base, legal documents)
- Correspondence with the CRA
- Issuance of the Certificate of Compliance (once accepted)

- Date of original purchase

- Legal fees and land transfer tax paid on purchase
- Major capital improvements made to the property (with dates and costs)
- Rental Information (if applicable)
- Dates the property was rented
- Total gross rent received during ownership
- Any depreciation claimed (CCA)
- Rental expenses (e.g., property tax, insurance, utilities)
- Supporting Documents
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Most recent property tax bill
- Summary of closing statement from sale
- Proof of major renovations or improvements
- Void cheque or bank account details for refund (if applicable)
